Official General Contest Rules
Effective Date: December 11, 2023
NOTE: SPECIFIC RULES MAY VARY FOR INDIVIDUAL CONTESTS.
These Official General Contest Rules ("General Rules") apply to any contest, sweepstakes, or giveaway (“Contest”) conducted by SOL Sound of Life Media LLC (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor") across all of its platforms, including SOL TV, SOL Music, SOL Shopping Network, and any affiliated services (collectively referred to as “SOL”). Individuals ("Entrants") who enter or attempt to participate in any Contest agree to be bound by these General Rules, as well as Sponsor's interpretation of these rules, which is final and binding in all matters. Specific contests may have their own rules ("Specific Contest Rules"), and where a discrepancy arises between these General Rules and Specific Contest Rules, the latter will control.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
Unless otherwise specified, no purchase is necessary to enter or win a prize. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.
APPLICABLE LAW (VOID WHERE PROHIBITED):
All Contests are governed by applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participation in any Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

1. ELIGIBILITY
Geographical, Age, and Parental Consent Requirements:
Unless otherwise specified, each Contest is open to individuals who (i) are legal residents of the United States, (ii) are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, and (iii) reside within the geographic range of participation outlined by Sponsor.
Employees, contractors, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, suppliers, distributors, and advertising/promotional/judging agencies (collectively, the "Contest Entities"), and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible to participate.
Eligibility Frequency Limits:
Sponsor may set limits on how frequently an individual may win prizes. In national contests, an individual may win only once every 15 days. In local contests, an individual may win only once every 7 days. No more than three (3) prizes may be won per individual in a calendar month. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted. A “household” is defined as people who share the same residence for at least three months a year.
2. HOW TO ENTER:
Methods of Entry:
Entries may be submitted as advertised by Sponsor, which may include the following:
- Online Entry: Entrants complete the required fields on the applicable SOL website.
- On-Air Entry: Entrants call in to be the designated caller during a broadcast.
- Text Entry: Entrants send a text message to a designated shortcode.
- Content Submission or Skill Contest: Entrants submit user-generated content or demonstrate a skill.
Online and On-Air Entries:
For online entries, Entrants must complete all required fields. For on-air entries, the Entrant must be the designated caller. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for delays caused by streaming lags, buffering, or other technical issues that may affect the timing of entries.
Text-to-Enter:
Message and data rates may apply. Entrants will receive at least one autodialed message upon entry, and potentially more if they advance to later stages of the Contest. Text messaging may not be available through all carriers. To stop receiving messages, text “STOP” to the shortcode provided. An alternate method of entry may be provided.
Content Submission or Skill Contest:
For contests requiring content submission, Entrants agree that all content is original, does not infringe on third-party rights, and complies with all contest requirements, including intellectual property rights. Sponsor reserves the right to reject or remove any content deemed inappropriate.
3. WINNER SELECTION:
Winners will be selected per the criteria announced for each Contest. If performance, skill, or trivia is required, Sponsor's decisions will be final. Entrants must claim their prize within the time frame specified, or the prize may be forfeited.
4. PRIZES:
Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Prize Details: Prizes will be announced for each Contest. Unless otherwise specified, prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or exchangeable. Any taxes, fees, or additional expenses related to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Travel Prizes: If travel is part of the prize, the prize includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations as specified. Travel arrangements must be made within designated timeframes, and the winner is responsible for all incidental costs.
5. TAMPERING AND DELIVERY DISCLAIMER:
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process, engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct, or attempting to gain an unfair advantage. Sponsor assumes no liability for technical failures, delayed transmissions, or other issues that may prevent entries from being properly received.
6. PUBLICITY:
By accepting a prize, the winner agrees to the use of their name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes without compensation, except where prohibited by law.
7. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Sponsor will retain personal data for a reasonable period for prize fulfillment and verification purposes. By entering, Entrants agree that their personal information may be shared with third parties for prize fulfillment. All personal data will be handled in accordance with SOL’s Privacy Policy.
8. RELEASES, CONDITIONS, AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Entrants agree to release and hold harmless SOL Sound of Life Media LLC, its affiliates, and any applicable third-party services from any claims, liability, or damages arising from participation in the Contest or use of any prize.
9. TAXES:
Prize winners are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on their prize, including federal, state, and local taxes. Winners may be required to complete a W-9 form, and prizes over $600 will be reported to the IRS as required by law.
10. CONDUCT AND DECISIONS:
All decisions of the Sponsor are final. Sponsor reserves the right to interpret these rules and resolve disputes, and any violation of the rules will result in disqualification.
11. BINDING ARBITRATION:
Any disputes arising out of the Contest will be resolved by binding arbitration, under the rules of JAMS Arbitration. Arbitration will take place in Alameda, CA, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Claims will be settled individually, and class actions are not permitted.
12. MISCELLANEOUS:
Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest at any time. Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance of these General Rules and any Specific Contest Rules.
13. GOVERNING LAW:
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any non-arbitration proceedings will be held in Los Angeles, California.

Official Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
This sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is conducted by SOL Sound of Life Media LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Sponsor"). Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to the Sponsor.

1. ELIGIBILITY:
This Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their state of residence) at the time of entry.
Employees, contractors, officers, and directors of SOL Sound of Life Media LLC, its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies, as well as their immediate family members or those living in the same household, are not eligible to participate.
Void where prohibited by law.
2. TIMING:
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 a.m. ET on January 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on February 10, 2024 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
3. DESCRIPTION OF SWEEPSTAKES / HOW TO ENTER:
To enter, participants must download the SOL Sound of Life Media app and take a selfie with the Club SOL: Sound of Life Media playlist playing for at least 8 minutes.
- Post the selfie on Instagram using the hashtag #ILOVESOLSoundofLifeMedia or email the photo to support@soundoflife.media.
- The entry must include your Instagram handle/name, phone number, email address, and selfie with the playlist.
Entries that do not include all required information will be disqualified.
4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AUTOMATIC ACCEPTANCE:
By submitting an entry for the SOL Sound of Life Media Vintage Tennis Shoe Giveaway, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Release of Liability and Permission for Use:
Release of Liability:
I, [Your Full Name], as a participant in the Sweepstakes, hereby release and discharge SOL Sound of Life Media LLC, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from my participation in the Sweepstakes or as a result of receiving any prize.
Permission for Use:
I grant SOL Sound of Life Media LLC the irrevocable right to use and publish any photographs, images, recordings, or content submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes for marketing, promotional, or other purposes without compensation, credit, or further approval.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you acknowledge you have read and understood this Release and agree to its terms.
5. WINNER SELECTION:
One (1) potential Sweepstakes winner will be randomly selected weekly from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
Winner Notification:
The potential winner will be notified via phone or email and must respond within 8 hours of notification. Failure to respond will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner will be selected.
6. PRIZE:
Grand Prize:
One (1) pair of vintage tennis shoes in new condition. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): Between $100.00 and $500.00, depending on consumer demand.
7. TAMPERING AND DELIVERY DISCLAIMER:
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person attempting to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Sweepstakes, or undermine its fairness. SOL Sound of Life Media LLC is not responsible for technical failures, unauthorized intervention, or other issues that may compromise the Sweepstakes.
8. PUBLICITY:
By accepting the prize, the winner grants SOL Sound of Life Media LLC permission to use their name, likeness, and submission for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
9. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Personal information provided by entrants will be used by the Sponsor solely to administer the Sweepstakes and verify eligibility. By entering, you consent to the Sponsor’s use of your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
10. RELEASES, CONDITIONS, AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants release SOL Sound of Life Media LLC and its affiliates from any liability related to participation in the Sweepstakes or the awarding, acceptance, or use of any prize.
11. TAXES:
The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize.
12. MISCELLANEOUS:
The Sponsor reserves the right to determine eligibility and interpret these Official Rules. By participating, you agree to abide by these rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
13. GOVERNING LAW:
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any claims or disputes will be resolved in Alameda County, California.
